Race for the Cure 5-10

This morning we ran in the 5K Race for the Cure. Approx. 5,500 folks. I ran it in 26.53, best for this course, but not a pr. It was so hot and humid!! I wanted to run it in less than 27 so I was happy but I didn't place, I got 6th in the 45-49 age group. Timothy had a lot of competition. Guys from UTT, Lee and Marshall cross country teams. He placed 5th in the 15-19 age bracket, 12th overall. He had to stop about 400 feet from the finish line and throw up unfortunately, and when he did two guys in his age bracket passed him. He would have gotten 3rd. But when it has to come up, it's gotta come up! Pictures: Guys from Whitehouse xc team: Ricardo, Timothy, Taylor and Adam. Me and Coral.

Nice job in the heat and humidity, you're a braver soul than me! 5,500 folks in a local 5k race is fantastic, in Vegas we're lucky to get 400 runners! Nice photos too, the young guy on the far right looks like a young Hugh Grant?!?
