The storm has passed

We made it through Hurricane Ike without major incident. The power was out about 6 hours, mostly daylight hours so the house got quite warm and as it got dark we hooked up the generator for the refrigerator and tv. We had one really big tree blow over down in the woods by the creek which made an awful crash. We will cut it up for firewood later. I'm thankful all is well and praying for everyone that still doesn't have power and for some in Galveston, no home to return to. I'm certainly not going to complain. I sat at my scrap desk and watched the wind blow and rain fall and did several cards and layouts. Here are a few of them (click on them for larger image). I did an open water swim at Lake Tyler last night for 1 1/2 hours and ran 8 miles on Sunday evening. Would have went farther but it got dark before I could make it home.
