For the DT call on SNS. we were asked to do a themed layout for "my Addiction". This is what I came up with. I really like my journaling. I really had fun creating this one. Used several ribbons from SNS. SNS Ribbon White Satin Edge Organza - #0200, Small Black Ric Rac - #0168, black - White Stitch - #0204, American Crafts Remarks cardstock letter stickers, Memories forever cardstock letters. Journaling says: Life is nothing without passion; I have two real passions, scrapbooking and running. Those two things are such extreme opposites - one sedentary and one totally on the move. I have always been active and have exercised all my life. Anything from aerobics classes while I was pregnant to weight lifting at the gym. But my latest exercise craze is running. I am enjoying this sport, running. Non-runners think runners are crazy. Insane. Those who don’t run, do not understand. They view running as punishment. Runners know this. We take a sort of twisted pride in the joke that our sport is every other sport’s punishment. And at times, I admit, running seems like punishment. I’ll admit that there is a physically painful aspect to this sport: that hot, burning sensation in my lungs as I finish a hard 5K or uphill, that overwhelming heaviness in my legs as the lactic acid builds up and I am not sure if I can go another step. But then there are times when I feel like I could run forever...So what is there to love about running? The feel of the wind in my hair, the occasional wildlife sightings, the escape, the feeling of accomplishment when I achieve my goal, the exercise and spiritually, to spend this time with my creator while I am out running through his creation. I am addicted! I will run laps up and down the driveway just to get my “high” from running if there is no other option. I love how the running endorphins enhance my senses and make me feel so alive at the end of a run, exhausted but totally alive. Running is freedom. The ability to run is a gift. And I am thankful. I hope I can always run - run long and run strong!
