My first "Strip" quilt

Strip quilting is a procedure where you sew the backing, the inside and the top all in one process. This is my first time to make a quilt using this technique. I made this a few weeks ago and sent it to a friend. I wanted her to receive it before I posted the picture. She loves Cats and is such a cat person and I fell in love with this fabric that I found at Walmart. All kinds of cute cat designs. As this was my first attempt it certainly isn't perfect but it's a great technique and I already have more material bought to try another one. This time with dog fabric! And the person that got it said she loved it and that is was awesome. Fun to surprise someone with a gift for no reason! Here are the instructions for a new born strip quilt but you can modify for any size up to 44" wide (the width of your backing fabric). Click on the photo for a bigger photo so hopefully you can see the detail of the cat fabric.
