6/25 Thus We fly to Vegas and Terri and Gary pick us up at the airport and

we go have a wonderful dinner and then we walk the strip. This is Terri and I in front of the New York Casino. We went to M&M World which has nothing but 4 floors of m&m stuff. Unbelievable!
6/26 Fri Gary takes us out in the desert to do a geocache on the top of a mountain out on a jeep road. It's quite a drive, hike and climb but we did it and it was so cool to see views from the top.

6-27 Sat They take us out to Maggie's Wash which is

really cool to see. Terri and I are both green by the time we get there from the roller coaster ride on the dirt road but then we cool off and climb around on the rocks. Once again, super hot but very pretty in its own unique desert sort of way.
6/28 Sun We go to Chloride, up the easy dirt road and climb on 'Windy Point' and then down the 'jeep road' to the Chloride Murals. Meet 4 other jeeps on the way down. That alone was an adventure as they passed us.

6/29 Mon Gary had never seen the Grand Canyon before but now he has and it's so amazing. Words nor pictures can describe the beauty and wonder of the place. We went to the South Rim and walked around for a while taking it all in. Then took Route 66 back to Kingman and at a "Roadkill Cafe"!

I'm so jaded and often take it for granted many of the natural wonders that living in Vegas provides...Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, Valley of Fire, etc....thanks to your post for looking at Vegas in new eyes. (An old girlfriend of mine lives in a rustic cabin in Chloride, the village is so small it looks like a dinky mobile home park)
Great pics!
