This morning I practiced for a TRIATHLON!

This morning Timothy and Adam and Corel and I went out to Lake Tyler where the Rose City Triathlon will take place and participated in a clinic explaining transitions put on by The East Texas Triathletes club. We did the race course with breaks in between each segment. We first swam 650 meter, then biked 16.5 miles (Corel and I missed the turn around and went 2 miles farther), then ran 3 miles. It was 11ish before we ran and the sun was out and it was HOT but I did it! My legs are like rubber now and I'm exhausted but at least I know I can finish the race in September and it was a good training session.

The clinic sounds like fun and educational! I would like to do a tri someday, but I'm such a slow swimmer. Did you wear a snorkel during the swimming portion and eventually plan to wear it in the race?!? The confidence you gained during the session should pay good dividends in September!!!

Way to go on finishing the course!

Great job! I always thought the swimming would be the toughest part of a tri. Sounds like your training is coming along really well!

Remember it is not the number of breaths you take, it is the breaths that take you away. In other words, place one step in front of the other and you will finish! That is what is important!!
A wrestler only has two minutes on the mat, but it is what the wrestler does in that two minutes that counts!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!
